Deputy Commissioner Jamil Ahmed Jamil has directed the District Health Authority’s CEO Dr. sakhawat Randhawa and THQ Hospital’s MS Dr. Nadeem Zia to get vacate doctors hostel’s rooms immediately. He also sought report regarding allotments of their residents. Earlier, the DC was informed that the government had constructed a double storey doctor’s hostel inside the THQ Hospital. It is learnt that majority of hostel’s rooms are still vacant as senior doctors prefer to reside in official residences of the hospital’s colony. Taking advantage of the situation, the hostel’s empty rooms were occupied by some outsiders. The matter was brought to the notice of the DC who paid a surprise visit to the hostel and found that most of the rooms were occupied by irrelevant persons. At this, the DC ordered the DHA’s CEO to get vacate the hostel.
